Gluten Free/Grain Free/Dairy Free/Sugar Free Snack Ideas

  • Hummus with roasted vegetables – toss broccoli, cauliflower, carrots in avocado oil and roast on a cookie sheet at 400 for 20-30 minutes, until fork tender; these can be dipped warm or cold into hummus (make your own or I recommend Hope hummus brand)
  • Roasted chickpeas – Toss chickpeas as above in avocado or coconut oil and seasonings – paprika, curry, black pepper, sea salt – and bake on a cookie sheet at 400 for @ 20 minutes, until slightly crisp on the outside – stir every 5-10 minutes for even cooking, serve warm
  • Baked Kale – rub kale leaves with a mixture of olive oil and lime juice and salt; bake on a cookie sheet in a 350 oven for 8-15 minutes, until crisp
  • Chopped celery with almond butter or sunflower seed butter
  • Sliced jicama – squeezed with lime and chili powder and dipped into mashed avocado/sea salt
  • Healthified vanilla “milk”shake:  8oz unsweetened coconut milk (I like So Delicious brand), 1 tsp vanilla extract or fresh vanilla bean, 1 T raw almond butter, 2 scoops vanilla protein powder (sugar free), 1-2 Tbsp ground flax, 2-3 ice cubes-Blend!
  • ½ avocado – scooped with 2 T sauerkraut scooped on top-I like Wild Brine or Woodstock brands
  • ½ baked medium sweet potato – mashed and mixed with 2-3 tsp coconut butter or coconut oil and topped with cinnamon and 2 tsp chopped walnuts
  • Siete grain-free tortillas (any flavor) with 1 T sunflower butter and mashed raspberries (roll up like sushi)
