- 2 cups of Basil
- ½ cup Walnuts or Almonds
- 2-3 cloves of Garlic
- ¼ cup Nutritional yeast or pecorino romano cheese (if tolerated)- OPTIONAL
- ½ cup Olive oil
- 1 cup Greens- arugula, cooked broccoli, spinach, kale, steamed collard greens
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- Combine all ingredients except oil and lemon juice in a food processor, until well blended slightly.
- Add in the oil and lemon juice and blend again until smooth, pesto like consistency forms.
- Enjoy over your meat, fish, roasted veggies, or mixed into your whole grains!
