Stuck at home and afraid to go out? If you have a vulnerable immune system or are over 65 years old, it may be better to stay at home than to set foot into a grocery store right now. The difficulty is that many of the online grocery delivery options like Peapod, Shipt and Prime Now have extremely limited delivery windows due to the high demand. While this may change in the coming days, I’ve compiled for you some different options-from shelf stable grocery-like suppliers to ready made meals-these options will make your life easier! PS-most of these sites have discount offers for newbies right now!

  1. Instacart
    • A grocery delivery service where someone does the shopping for you and leaves the groceries at your door-it includes stores like Wegmans, Market Basket, Costco, Star Market and Shaws
    • It currently has some delays in delivery times based on your zipcode; I would give yourself a 5-7 day buffer. This delay will likely improve as they are actively hiring more shoppers!
  2. Thrive Market
    • Stock up on your favorite nutritious shelf-stable pantry items like canned wild seafood, bean pasta and sugar free condiments; they even ship out non-toxic household cleaning products, grass fed beef and organic wines!
    • A great option for those of you who plan ahead, want to save money and can wait-they state that with the recent high demand most orders are arriving 10-14 days from order date.
  3. Green Chef
    • Sick of searching for recipes? Get your cooking juices flowing with this certified organic meal service! You choose the plan that fits you (from Keto to Family friendly) and they deliver the prepped ingredients and recipes right to your doorstep.
    • Your meals can be at your doorstep 1 week from the order date!
  4. Trifecta
    • Want to avoid cooking altogether? Trifecta offers ready made meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner that are all completely gluten free. Not only is all food made in a dedicated GF kitchen, they source everything as organic and high quality as possible.
    • Deliveries go out every week on fridays.
  5. Paleo on the Go
    • Want to stay consistent with your autoimmune protocol while stuck at home? Not to fear! Paleo on the Go offers ready made meals and snacks for those following an autoimmune protocol, paleo or even whole 30!
    • Meals can ship out in under a week!
  6. Fresh N Lean
    • The most affordable option I could find for ready made meals that also are prepped in a gluten free kitchen with a focus on high quality sourcing. They even offer a ‘vegan low carb’ option and meals can be at your doorstep in a matter of days.
